Review of: Warehouse Robot Mule

We want and must not fail to present our statement / our review for Johannes Glaser, Electrical Engineer in Nordheim.

In our depressing search for a programmer for an autonomous industrial truck, the fortunate contact with Johannes Glaser at the end of 2021 was crucial for the project. Moreover, from today’s perspective, it was the maximum gain for us and this project. We have - and wanted - to fundamentally avoid writing reviews in the past. However, the almost breathtaking reliability and competence of Johannes in electronics and programming has now compelled us to make our insights from working with him accessible to anyone who wants to read them. For us at least, Johannes is today the benchmark in electrical engineering and programming. None of his predecessors could so precisely - almost virtuously - juggle controllers as hardware and his programs written in C++ as software. This is, as mentioned, indeed "breathtaking" for us. And this must be explicitly mentioned - not only in theoretical discussions and proposals of possible solutions (there are companies and freelancers available "en masse" on this planet); but factually, actually, and consistently with the identical, physical delivery of his proposed solutions on the electoboard, which then also work flawlessly upon first request. And that too at maximum speed. For this, we can and must bow with deep conviction and tip our hats "Chapeau" my dear Johannes "Chapeau". It may be that this statement of ours may seem overheated; but every reader can verify the truthfulness of what we have presented about Johannes in their own projects where they are struggling. We are sure he will not disappoint.

Connected with the hope of being able to keep you in our ranks permanently.

Review of: Sensor-Box IMU with AHRS

As part of a development project, we got to know Mr. Glaser through an online search for a suitable developer for a demanding microelectronic circuit. From the first contact through several meetings to the completion of the industrial-quality circuit board, we were excellently supported. His dynamic, open, and fresh manner fit well with our project team and was very conducive to creative solutions.

Mr. Glaser's office had extraordinarily quick response times, the processing was effective, and the result was excellent. The online meetings were professionally organized and conducted with all the possibilities of modern visualization technology. Thus, despite the Corona pandemic, we were always very well informed about the current state of development. Inquiries and last-minute changes were handled very competently, quickly, and generously.

With Mr. Glaser, we managed to successfully complete an ambitious prototype development economically efficiently and within a tight timeframe, despite procurement issues in the electrical supply chains. Mr. Glaser embodies the young, innovative, and flexible generation of specialized offices, of which there are unfortunately too few in the market. We clearly express our recommendation for Mr. Glaser.

Review of: Module Demonstrator - Exhibit for Trade Fair Appearance, Safety Demonstrator - Exhibit for Trade Fair Appearance

Johannes Glaser took a holistic approach to the topic: electromechanics, software, packaging, even fluid technology as well as design and marketing.

In a very short time, a work of art was created that far exceeded our expectations for robustness and user-friendliness. We are still thrilled! The demonstrator is now being used internationally at trade fairs.

I have never encountered such strong commitment, technical ingenuity, and universal competence in one person.

Johannes, I am sure we will work together again!

Review of: Sensor Box IMU with AHRS

As project and deputy department head, I would like to highlight the outstanding performance of engineer Glaser on behalf of the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research with this review. In the course of the research project ROBBE - Robot-assisted processing of assemblies during the decommissioning of nuclear power plants - Mr. Glaser, as an external development engineer, made an important contribution to the success of the project.

The task was to develop a mobile sensor box with Wi-Fi and an inertial measurement unit (IMU). What initially seemed like a manageable project quickly turned out to be a complex task: To achieve the highest precision in recording orientation in 3D space, demanding mathematical algorithms such as singular value decomposition and Kalman filters had to be implemented in the C++ programming language on a microcontroller. Therefore, it was all the more impressive for us that Mr. Glaser presented a high-performance sensor box even before the agreed delivery date. In a very short time, he not only refined the original concept, programmed the software, and developed the electronics, but also manufactured the hardware, including 3D printing and CNC-milled parts.

The outstanding quality of the delivered software and hardware, as well as the detailed documentation and the well-founded presentation of the development steps and use of professional measurement technology, exceeded our expectations. Thank you and respect for the excellent work and great collaboration.

Review of: Examples from software development

Since 2016, Mr. Glaser has been developing professional software solutions for our company, the wero group. From the very beginning, I was impressed by his ability to understand and his structured approach. He immediately grasped what was important to me; created a concept from my ideas and implemented it into reality at lightning speed. Our collaboration is characterized by the fact that I can express my wishes and shortly thereafter I am thrilled by the results. What Mr. Glaser programs with foresight runs stably, reliably, and is very user-friendly. A good example of this is our Doc-Manager software, which is now used by over 100 of our clients for compliant document management. The software has been running smoothly on a four-digit number of devices for years. Our clients can contact Mr. Glaser directly, who implements their requirements immediately. This way, the software is continuously optimized according to customer needs and grows with us.

In this review, it is important for me to particularly highlight the communication with Mr. Glaser. He is very accessible and direct, uncomplicated, asks the right questions, and exceeds expectations. From an economic perspective, working with Mr. Glaser is an excellent investment that has already paid off multiple times.

I would recommend him as a "hidden gem" as he masters his field in a virtuoso manner and is unique in his precision and speed.

Learning begins where imagination becomes tangible.

From this conviction, Johannes Glaser from the engineering office Glaser and Adrian Siebing, lecturer for new web technologies at the Service-centric Networking (SNET) department of the Technical University of Berlin, met in the electrical laboratory in Nordheim.

Amid prototypes, tools, and creative ideas, Johannes Glaser handed over a professional fifth-generation 3D printer from MakerBot to the department.

This device provides students with immediate access to additive manufacturing - beyond theoretical concepts. Complex industrial projects in the field can now be not only thoughtfully considered but also made practically tangible within the framework of student projects. The opportunity to directly realize their own ideas creates a practical bridge between teaching and research. Students acquire not only initial experiences in 3D printing but also ways of thinking and working that characterize innovative development processes.

The entire department under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Axel Küpper sincerely thanks for this valuable contribution to practice-oriented education.

Pioneering spirit from study times strengthens control engineering laboratory

On behalf of the Technical University of Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS), Prof. Dr. Abid Ali sincerely thanks Mr. Johannes Glaser for the provision of the experimental setup "Ball Scale" to the control engineering laboratory.

Over ten years ago, the then electrical engineering student of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering showed exceptional commitment. Instead of limiting himself to the required regulation of an existing experimental setup, he independently developed and built a completely new control loop. Together with his fellow student Daniel Neeser, a demanding setup was created - the "ball scale". This teaching model now allows our students to learn the theoretical foundations of control engineering in a practical way. The aim of the experiment is to design a stable control loop that regulates a metal ball to the center of a seesaw using a propeller drive.

We are excited about this valuable addition to our control engineering laboratory and appreciate Mr. Glaser's contribution to the practical training of our students. We wish him much success and all the best for the future as a self-employed engineer. His commitment is a shining example of the connection between theory and practice that we particularly promote at our university.

Donation over 1,000€ to the Forest Kindergarten Volkach

Last Friday, the engineering office Glaser surprised us with a donation of 1,000 euros to the Waldkindergarten Volkach support association. Managing Director Johannes Glaser and his team were on site to present the symbolic check.

The company from Nordheim stands for technical progress and places great value on creative solutions and individuality. During a tour of the facility in the middle of the forest, Johannes Glaser stated: "In the imagination of a small child, everything is still possible. As an adult, what remains is what kindergarten, school, and parents have allowed. Instead of performance pressure, children should have the freedom to develop their creativity in nature and think without walls."

The Waldkindergarten addresses this with its concept: The children invent toys using their own imagination and natural materials. Daily life takes place in a free environment in the forest, guided by caregivers who pass on their connection to nature to the children.

"That’s why we consider the donation a matter of the heart and are confident that more companies will support the Waldkindergarten," said Johannes Glaser.
